One-way System is a DVB compliant, end-to-end IP over satellite system. The system delivers the high-speed IP via satellite (downstream) to satellite receivers, while the upstream connection is effected over a terrestrial line . This system has the advantage of a relatively low initial investment in an outbound- only data gateway - as the inbound return-channel runs over existing terrestrial networks. It also features professional receiver/routers for the corporate market as well as very low cost satellite receivers for consumers. |
